With GPS, AI and Railway Partnerships, This App is Simplifying Commute for Millions

For millions of Mumbai commuters, uncertainty is part of the daily journey. Reeva Sakaria and Lakhi Sakaria Chowdhary set out to change that by building Yatri, a live train tracking app that shows the real-time location of Mumbai's local trains. After 15 months of developing custom GPS hardware, testing multiple prototypes, and working with Indian Railways, the sisters created a platform that now helps commuters track trains, plan multimodal journeys, and navigate the city's transport network more efficiently.
