Across the world, governments and private entities recognize renewable energy as a crucial component of the future. One of its sources, solar energy, has potential for application in rooftop, commercial, industrial, open-access, and utility-scale settings.

However, the workflows involved in setting up solar energy systems—engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC)—are still manual and fragmented in countries such as India. This makes them slower and hence less efficient than they could be, hindering adoption by a customer base that is still in its early stages of growth.

Reslink Energy, founded by Shashank Jha and Kalyan Tarafdar, aims to solve this problem. Incorporating mapping technology and AI analytics, this Delhi-based startup offers a digital platform to make solar EPC faster for companies and customers alike. This platform supports every step of designing a solar energy system from site assessment to building proposals.

How solar EPC works

When a customer decides to adopt solar energy, they usually contact a solar EPC company that can design an appropriate solar energy system based on their requirements.

This EPC company operates in three stages: first, taking measurements of the site where panels will be installed; second, determining optimum panel placement and estimating the power generation; and third, sharing the project details with the customer via a proposal. These steps require extensive coordination between various teams within the company and are thus time-consuming. Consequently, this slows the adoption of solar energy systems across both commercial and domestic sectors.

What Reslink offers

Reslink’s mobile-first digital platform presents a common interface wherein these teams can work together seamlessly. Drawing on satellite imagery, GIS mapping, and remote sensing, it allows them to assess solar installation sites without arranging in-person visits. Once these assessments are complete, teams can use its 3D modeling and simulation features to construct detailed virtual models of solar energy systems. Finally, Reslink’s AI-powered automation software generates proposals, layout drawings, bills of materials, and other documentation to share with technical heads or customers.

Early success of the platform

Within 5 months of its launch, the platform had already been adopted by over 5,000 solar companies. Today, Reslink’s solution is active in 35+ cities across five major markets including India, the USA, the UK, mainland Europe, and the APAC region. Two notable clients include Schneider Electric- funded Freyr Energy, which has moved its entire sales team to the platform, and Indian solar company CleanMax Solar.

The primary beneficiaries of the platform are sales and design teams, as well as project managers. Its user-friendly interface, which requires little technical knowledge, has been built for rapid adoption. In some cases, the platform has shortened processing times for design and proposal building from 10–15 days to 15–20 minutes. Additionally, according to pilot users, using it leads to a 30% increase in lead-to-customer conversion.  

These promising results have already drawn attention within India’s startup ecosystem. Reslink ranks among Inc42’s Top 30 Startups to Watch Out for in 2026 and has been nominated for the Emerging Startup of the Year category at the Mercom India Renewables Summit 2026.

Building collaborations for the future

Since its inception, Reslink has worked with a handful of partners including IIMA Ventures, the Chandigarh Angels Network, and Azhar Iqubal, who co-founded Inshorts. These partners have provided much-needepced support with networking and product development.

Going forward, Reslink seeks more collaborative relationships that can allow it to scale the impact of its digital platform. To strengthen awareness among the public and energy ecosystem, it aims to connect with solar EPC associations, government-backed renewable energy schemes, and manufacturers of solar components. Working closely with financial institutions would help provide bank-ready documentation to procure capital for further expansion. 

Most importantly, Reslink emphasizes the importance of inclusion under government policy interventions such as training and EPC capacity building programs. These would enable smaller solar companies to adopt digitalization solutions such as that offered by Reslink. State-level support for innovations in solar energy would rapidly build trust among the public and establish strong industry standards for the future. In the long term, these could support the development of India as a leader in clean energy across the Global South.
